An OTB flow for the last 3 years. One of my Warm eqs is in the shop and the bottom 4U were being reserved for the Dizengoff eqs. The other side of my brain has been drafting a purge that would make it a more hybrid situation with 2 heavy-duty channel strips, a few nice fx and a simple mix bus enhancer. Maybe begin that change at the end of this year. The Argosy Halo looks like a good fit for my future plans. Anyone using one? I can't emphasize this enough don't waste the $$ on Argosy! Find a local cabinet builder sit down show him what you really want, you will save money, get something designed for you that probably is better built as well! Yeah I actually already got quotes from two people. The first one was based on a similar design and was $300 more than the Halo. The second guy I showed the exact Halo desk to him and he quoted $2000. $500 more than the Halo!

That Argosy Halo is exactly what I'm wanting, but would definitely prefer a local build if I could. It does the same thing as the Jarvis desk frame, which is motorized raising and lowering.
I spent a couple hours last night trying to find a local builder or some similar diy plans online. No luck.

Just thought I'd post a pic or two of my desk in, which I've had for close to 20 years now (it's still in production), and share some of the pros and cons. Nice space. Pretty cool that even with the piano it seems so open, not at all cramped.

Side view. I should have waited to put the daw controller in the desk which should be arriving today.

Ever the frugal one; the desk is made of shelving scored from the dumpster and a few 12" pine boards, maybe another $15 in 1 x 4's for the arm rest. I basically framed the mixer, then cut and sanded the wood sides to fit it. Next time I'll use oak as its a pretty wood. The flat section next to the mixer is 15" and so cant fit rack gear but will have a touch monitor that will be on an extendable arm. Icon just released the Platform m extender. Currently the Platform M fits perfectly in front of the console in the arm rest.

The Halo with keyboard drawer is as close as I've been able to find so far for non-custom stuff. Great thread. I dig seeing everybody's setup!

Hey, Everybody I'm trying to drop in a photo of my desk. I've never posted a photo on RGO. When I use the add attachment button, it says the pix I took on my iPhone is too big. What's the proper technique? Obviously, other members have succeeded thousands of times...Â

I would use a service like PhotoBucket or Imgur to host the photo, then post the sharing url in the photo attachement button at the top of the Reply input window (looks like a little portrait)

Here is mine. The desk is an Office Depot number: $150. On the desk is my newest acquisition, a Handsome Audio Zulu, patched into the 2-bus. Still figuring out the image thing. Click on it to see actual size.

Build this this desk a few years ago. It's based on a sterling modular.

I love the "interface on a desk" setup! It's where a lot of us started, I think. At least a large minority.

I purchased plans to build a desk and was getting the material together when I got injured and that out everything on hold. So ya just a plastic folding table which is prob bad for flutter echoes and comb filtering, it's what I got so I love it and use it everyday. Trying to make a bracket that suspends the WA76 over the Apollo. Not that the Apollo gets hot, just want to have room between them. Not pictured is the sa4000 which goes under the Apollo Chase, I just bought the Rockville version of the OnStage stands you have. They work fine. I've got the Primacoustic pads on top of the stands.

Sideshow, I dig the knobs on your dbx 160's, they're not stock, AFAIK. Did you do that?
