Those Focusrite blue line mastering compressors aren't the smoothest things. Maybe they changed them, but the early ones did a pretty harsh splat. I had a few records run through one, mastering guy got pretty irritated with it and dumped it quickly. YMMV.... At $6500, I'm not gonna find out. Looks sexy AF though.

Yes the mk2 500 series is a double wide and is supposed to be the same circuit... I really have always wanted this piece whether 19" or 500, and at around $900-$1000 the 500 series is a steal. I will look more into the 500 vs 19" but it the same circuit all tube comp... Vids with audio here, scroll down halfway vintageking.com/acme-audio-opticom-xla-500-series-tube-compressor-limiterericnThis is crazy

Somehow the Klon Centaur prices on ebay have suddenly risen to $3,000+++
www.ebay.com/itm/Klon-centaur-Silver-65-/162422127624?hash=item25d11cfc08:g:WXEAAOSwo4pYXW~zI picked this one because I just gotta have the silver finish It's the same as the Tube Screamer for me. I already have something that sounds the same. But there's that collector value in having the OG pedal made by the real manufacturer. It's as geeky as it gets, and that would just do me in. For what it's worth, I do use a real Tube Screamer on my pedalboard and not a recreation. Although it has been modified by me. I would like to think that if I owned a real Klon, I would also take it out of the house. When I met Johnkenn, ericn, svart and the rest of RGO members at the Nashville meet up, we went to Carter Vintage Guitars and they had multiple Klons lying all around the tables ready to be played and bought. That just blew my mind. Just the tip of the iceberg of what it means to be in a music mecca like that. On top of the opulence they were incredibly friendly and helpful. I suppose people in Nashville must get used to the idea of being drowned in awesomeness.

Come up to RI this time! Hahaha
August would be prime. Check out our 60 degree ocean. Drink a Del's lemonade. Eat some clam cakes and chowdah.

I use it a ton but could never see spending that much $$$ for one. People are nuts..

A buddy of mine (who has unbelievable gear, but can hardly play) sold one a few years ago for somewhere north of $2k. I couldn't believe it. And I've been playing guitar for most of my life.
