Damn that looks sweet. I know Randge has something similar and I'm sure EmRR has been inside of a few.

Biggest version of that series, not my fave RCA but I'm not gonna diss it either. Maybe they saw my BC-2B restorations and took a cue on the connector panel, this is the first one I've seen with actual connectors on it like mine. Of RCA stuff (and inline with what you find across all manufacturers for the era) these have the best measured response, the least interesting and harshest distortion when pushed, and the most inexpensive construction. Only RCA tube console with circuit board construction, and no output transformers on the cathode follower preamps. Notice there are no interior pics; these frequently look kinda ugly on the inside. This arrangement is still a 7x2, so no direct outs on the preamps. I need to get my BC-2B's finished....

How does it sound? I had a pair of the same color, curved baffles. Found then at a used office supply. Wish I didn't sell them.

I have a 76B, but Jim Gilmore is slowly converting it to a stereo, like the Sun console.

I have a 76B, but Jim Gilmore is slowly converting it to a stereo, like the Sun console. When I was in Nashville, they had the sun console at the musueum... I stood in front of it and actually cried... point source for me in a way. Then I went to Sun, ... I didn't cry there tho... 8) cheers Wiz
