Based on these 2 pictures Seems the Heritage is every bit up to par if not nicer... True film foil caps on the boards not metalized (sorry) but junk like some. Both of those are heritage built? No... the bottom is BAE

This is interesting. Here's a mix of the 1073jr with the VP28L. One phrase is one pre, then the next phrase is the other. For the 5th and 6th phrases (the loud transient ones) I put both of the pres. Yes these are different takes. https%3A//soundcloud.com/johnandkris/mixoftwopresSo - the phrases are in this order 1. Heritage 2. VP28 3. Heritage 4. VP28 5a. Heritage 5b. VP28 6. VP28

The Heritage is doing something very cool.. It is not more sibilent, it has less bass and less dynamics. The Heritage has less air and more mids that pull the vocal very together frequency wise. Yes the VP is more dynamic has more bass too.... I noticed this in my tests too, maybe not as finished sounding .. Both are great no doubt

Yeah - ok - I hear that now. Little more top on the VP28...But there are more lower mids in the VP28...think that was misleading me.

Yea the VP seems more open but less filled in LOL The Heritage with the less dynamics seems to have more sustain.
That being said I considered selling all my preamps and going to go all Capi VP 28...
How much differen is the VP28 Litz then my Vanilla VP28 ?

It has been so long I couldn't tell you with any authority...I'll say this...I thought the Litz opened the VP28 up tremendously. Maybe bigger bottom and smoother top... jsteiger?

I'd rather nail it with a new song ... Not that Youtoooob will pay me anything for the intellectual property they stole from me so they can get advertising money for my songs or make you pay for Youtube red for my songs that they stole...

Not that I wouldn't like 2 Litz added to my pre palate...

Or the heritage to the don classics? Or either/ both to an Aurora Audio gtq2? Trying to see if heritage is worth the extra $$$$ for authentic neve sound. Gtq2 is based upon but a modernized Hi fi neve if I had to describe it briefly... sozocaps what makes the heritage build more stellar than the bae build in a noob when it comes to the circuit / component / pcb layouts?

I would say the layout is exactly the same on the daughter cards... I can say from the looks of it the Heritage spent more time on lead dress and positively the capacitors for the EQ on the daughter board are much more like the original (true film foil vs metalized). That being said I really really really like the BAE eq !!!
