Looks interesting! Will definitely try. Have been using BX Refinement a lot, especially for low budget harsh sounding recordings that I've been foolish enough to agree to mix..

Why no Logic support :-(
This is one of my main issues, getting the main vocal to sit right. I keep many things on other tracks to a minimum, but often have a lot of plugs on the lead vocal. Each one used judiciously, but I'd love see if the Sooth plug would make that process easier.

How does this differ from other dynamic eq's, McDSP, TDR Nova etc?

It is a pretty cool plug. Does some nice things. My only complaint is the enormous latency. I'm also unsure how much this is a benefit over FF ProMB. It's definitely more 'active' as far as how it seeks out the ranges to compress.
Cool idea for sure. Not sure if I'll bite or not.

Thanks Kcat, unit7, I didn't see that. The link posted above led to a page that said "for Windows". Only when I went to their homepage did I see the link for macs.

The only thing I have that can do this is MDynamicEQ, but it would e a huge pain in the ass to set up. This does the analyzing and reduction all in one plug which can be useful. Tried it out on my voice and liked it. Gotta try it with other stuff...

Yeah, I grabbed it too. I had a few acoustic and vocal tracks that I could never get quite right no matter what I tried.
Took about 3 minutes with this...

Definitely impressed here using on lead vocal, also really appreciate the tweak ability and the extent to which you can maximize the fx and/or proportion it for subtlety:a very well designed tool.
Thx Anton!!

I don't see this plug as a gratuitous BF/CM impulse buy: this is a very useful tool that lets you quickly get a certain improved sound for a problematic track: the solo function lets you hear exactly what you would be affecting and or removing so helps you dial in how much is enough.

Is this in any way similar to Brainworx bx Refinement plugin? I can say, there have been some times where I really could have used an anti-harsh control.

I'm using bx ref a lot and my impression is that it's working more like in the 2-4k area. Soothe seems to work more broad band. Not only for harsh stuff, or?

demo it, real time is the best video feed you will ever get ! seriously its like a multi point/band eq/comp as you can set the parameters (freq and range) to adjust what part of the signal the plug is acting on and hear it real time with your session or soloed and you can further solo the elements of the freq that are being affected: pretty straightforward !

When using this to fix a zingy vocal, where do you place it, first, after EQ, last?
I haven't demo'd yet, but I'll wait until I get to some serious mixing. I'm trying to swing other things, so no money for it now.
