I am sooooooooooo bummed. I decided (for some unholy reason) to upgrade to El Capitan...and apparently, my transport software won't work anymore. I recorded with V-Control in PTs with my iPad last night...and it SUCKED. I'm so sad.

The Behringer X-Touch rocks for Logic. You would hope they would have a decent PT config worked out by now. Might be worth checking out.

I'm basically looking for a wireless transport. One that's physical and you don't have to look at it - as opposed to an app. Is this thing wireless?

This thing would need to be small and portable...something I can slap on a stand or stool beside me...maybe in a another room...

Is there such a thing as a usb wireless adapter/router that would turn a wired device into a wireless one? After all, with something like the X-touch, it's just Midi. I wouldn't think latency would be an issue.

Ting V-control 2 - I had 1 - the simple remote for the iPhone might be a solution. Big buttons which the other lacked.

Thanks! Not sure I want to disable the SIP in El Capitan...I'm going to try out the V-Control 2 stuff and see if I can live with it.

If you are going the app direction you might want to check out Avid's free Control App for the iPad. That works well for me - but no physical buttons to smash. That transport is not too bad as far as size on the screen on my iPad.
I've also used Far Out Labs ProRemote (and still do - as it has a iPhone app). That has a fairly large transport section as well. About all I use these apps for is the transport. Handy when you have a mic that is not near your computer and you are doing everything yourself.

John, If you just want remote transport buttons, what's wrong with a bluetooth keyboard or keypad?
