My main vocal microphone is called "Claire" and that's way more easy for people to remember than DW251, some convoluted model number. I think I'll probably carry that forward as I go into other DIY mic designs/builds, simple relateable names.

Do Bass Guitars Count? Nice Warwick Custom Shop Corvette $$. I love the warm Bartolini Pickups and to have them split is just devine. Sort of like a Music man option into Jazz bass option. The Walnut top is nice.
Thought I would do a smaller picture. As usual I have heaps of pictures if anyone wants to see them.

Are those the bartolini quad splits? This is one of those instruments that captures my imagination More pictures could help, or they could make the problem worse but now I'm have to know what color

I have been a Lakland man for quite some time, I like Barts they do have there own sound. I tried Nords but they were too clean, Aggies Clean, EMg's on a EuroLX5 I had fitted the genre of heavy metal sound and I do have a 1980's EMG in my Original Fender 1964 P Bass that sounds fine. MK1 Barts are rubbish but they are just Korean licensed BArt Pickups, but other then that I have never had a Bartolini I did not like. There preamps just sound like the modern R&B stuff I play.
Pickup choice is alwaya a tuff personal thing. You have to go through a few to find out what you like.

I am officially 25% far along on my bass pickup journey. I'm not sure about EMG either maybe that puts me at 50%. It will take a few hundred bucks and a roll of dice to go 75% or all the way. On the plus side, most of it is in the "fingers" anyway, so it's not a life or death issue.

It has a Walnut Top. I like Walnut tops, its my first one. Off topic a bit, but everyone loves good looking instruments right? First is a Cort with an Elrick licensed design. Nordy big singles with a Bart preamp. This is my main gigging bass. Here's a Walnut Top Alembic that I sold a few years ago. And a Warwick that I regret selling. VERY rare piece.

Drummer I'm using on a project just acquired his 4th kit and asked if it could be a kit in residence at the studio. I only have a vintage Ludwig kit in house and had thought about adding a modern sounding option, so I was happy to exchange floor space for it. Yamaha Maple Custom turquoise 22 kick, 10, 12, 14, 16 stand mount toms, 14x4 snare, we went 4-piece last night: Sounds great, deep modern tone. Should be a nice combo with the old wigs across the room:

That is beautifully clean. The one I got is pretty beat up from touring, but will be a fun restoration project.

Audio-Technica AT3525 for $60 on Reverb. Seems like a few people here like them, figure I’ll try it on some random stuff and see if anything sticks

1956 one owner Hammond B-3. The B3 and Leslie set up, is my favorite instrument of them all. Followed closely by slide guitar/pedal steel/drums. Chris

Love the B3's guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KUDO's. Today I took delivery of what is without a doubt the most frequently used, and quite possibly the most valuable piece of gear in my studio. As much as I'd love a B, or a C or an A10x, this is infinitely more valuable to my work flow..... A brand new Kensington Expert Mouse - 4 button trackball. I've been "mousing" it the last few days after one of the switches on my previous KEM died, and it was like eating and getting dressed left handed when I broke my R shoulder. Beyond awkward. Now.....back to normal and life is GOOD again. More valuable than the upcoming H47T without a doubt. Thank God it didn't cost as much.

I got the Brainworx Townhouse compressor for $29 (still available)
It's like a darker, little dirtier, squishier SSL bus compressor I like it a lot. It's modeled after the earliest version of that compressor.
