May its because I am not in the Studio but it sounds like a reverb behind the vocals.... disconected in non pleasing way....?

How many times can I hit the like button? I sometimes struggle getting a plate sound I like, although to my ears the Hofa plates were a nice step up. It will be interesting to see how these compare. I love the idea of a plugin totally dedicated to plates.

I've been working with it for the past couple of weeks and it blends beautifully into the production I'm working on, rock stuff. Great on vocals and drums. Can be a really nice glue for a whole mix.

VPlate might have the perfect ratio of knobs vs control...

Nice, I'm demoing Valhalla Übermod right now and already own Vintage Verb. I'm going to check this out - I like the Valhalla plugs.

They work, sound great and priced right. If you're checking out Ubermod which is an awesome plugin watch this video review: I'll be buying ValhallaPlates this evening.

I have the video up at the same time as my session and I'm able to try it on my own material as the video rolls. I generally don't like this many parameters on a piece of gear (or plugin) but I think I'm better for knowing its capabilities. I'll have to find a video on Vintage Verb and Plate!

Well...its good...but it wouldn't really replace the UAD EMT140 for me. Guess I kinda jumped the gun.

That's pretty neat. Reminds me of Eventide for some reason. More of a modern interpretation than a straight up vintage plate sound. Or maybe I'm just fooled by the GUI.

I demo'd it
its good for the price.
There is also a bug..
load the default preset, with it instantiated on a aux, send a post pan signal to it, and just listen to the reverb return.. then pan your signal all the way left.. the reverb image will go to the right.
True stereo is a BIG deal for me... generally I don't use anything that doesn't do it.
Also, this is a HUGE example of what shits me about DAWS and plug ins....
You have to trust that they just should do what they should do...
Cheers

In fact listening to the reverb return and just the reverb returns of your mix will just about tell you all you need to know about the quality of your chosen verb...
cheers
