Wow...it's really good. In fact, I like it more than the AOM Invisible Limiter that I - of course - just bought the perpetual license for. Anyway, check it out.

I paid $104 with some jam points I had. IMHO, it is much, much better than FG-x

JK are you able to compare it to IK's Brickwall Limiter or have you?

I used it years ago, can't really remember. Try it out...there's a free demo.

I've got some leftover credits I completely forgot about, this look interesting.

Checking out the demo and like it quite a bit. I usually use PSP Xenon or Fabfilter Pro-L but this is very nice.
I could grab it for about $60 if I use my credits...

what about against Ozone's limiter? or Waves L2/L3?

I don't have either of those. I usually use Fabfilter Pro-L or PSP Xenon. It compares very well against those two IMO.

NoFilterChuck - I find ozone to have so many options, it's confusing. But this thing is the cleanest one I've tried.

FG-X was a huge disappointment. First they promised me personally it would be 64 bits by February/March 2013, and then took two years for them to get that together. Second, it wasn't cheap
In the interim, I bought the one year license of AOM, and was happy with it, finding it better than FG-X. I fell for the Slate hype that one time and I'm now and forever wary of their pitch, as good as they make their new products sound.
Being a Logic user, after some updates, I tried Apple's compressor/limiters, and damn if they weren't better than any of the other ones. I have a at least a half dozen Waves compressor/limiters, including all the "L's", Slate's VBC, UAD's LA2, and some others I've forgotten about, and Apple's tops them all.
Slate had promised to give all FG-X users the new FG-2.0 when it comes out, but from their track record, I wouldn't recommend counting on it. Still, it would be a nice bonus if it did in fact top the other brands.
IK Multimedia's Ampeg bass amp sim is great. I have a real Ampeg bass amp, and their plug sounds just like it, without the hiss, so I wouldn't be surprised if this limiter is as good as John says.

Hey Martin John Butler, I was reading on another site...ahem...and saw your post about FG-x2...You should REALLY try the Stealth Limiter. I was curious and pulled up FG-x on a track and compared it to Stealth and AOM. Difference in Stealth and the other two were striking. Really think Stealth sounded better than AOM too.

I tried it and thought it was better than anything I've used (except for the RND Master Buss Processors Limiter.) Do you use it on individual channels? Also some of their other plugs are fantastic (ik73 especially)

Just on master...hadn't really thought about it though. when I used it it would crumple my i7 Mac mini with the 16X over sampling...did you use it with the different over sampling rates?

No - mostly 16x. I'm using it that way in PT12 on the mixes I'm doing now with no problem - 44.1 though. I had a 88.2 project that it had trouble with.

I can't find anything I like better. Tried the DMG Limitless, but it had limitless options...too much for me.

Not to steal any thunder but JK have you used the Oxford limiter? I haven't used the IK but I'm curious how they stack up. Oxford is my main squeeze right now.

I liked the Stealth until I tried DMG Limitless. Much smoother and less harsh when pushed hard. You need to try the different algos in it.

Definitely picking this up today. Between the discounted price, the free gear credits, the free jam points and some left over credits I was hoarding, it'll only cost me $17. Score!
