Still makes it pretty tempting...but I hear rumors...about things... Considering what I went through to get it there, I probably wouldn't do it again. Hopefully the rumors will prove fruitful and someone can come out with a dead ringer.

A U67 would be nice if it could be had for under $2000

If I had to guess I would say Shannon at Mic rehab is cooking up some lovely 67/269c stew... I am purely guessing... If Upton does a 67 that would really cool! Considering how well received the 251 has been, I wouldn't be surprised to see another Upton mic ๐ There is another company I have heard of that makes a great " in the style of " m269c mic.. It's called the RMS microphone works RMS269... Notnsure how many people even know about RMS mics, they are pretty under the radar. Comes with ADK capsule, however if you buy a k67 I'm sure you can have it your way ๐ Been looking at these for awhile.. Have wanted a new main vocal tube mic for years... $1899 so add real k67 capsule and you are still probably under the TLM67 + Max Mod price๐ rmsaudioworks.com/site/mobile?url=http%3A%2F%2Frmsaudioworks.com%2FRMS269.php#2899

Completely satisfied my U67 urge. Great mic. And yes, very under the radar. The RMS269 gets it.

A U67 would be nice if it could be had for under $2000 If the U47Fet is over $3K, a 67 (tube mic w/ Pwr Sply) would have to be over $5K.

Still makes it pretty tempting...but I hear rumors...about things... Your innuendo, again, keeps suggesting there's a 67 involved. In another thread, commenting on another remark you made, I said "Neumann's 2nd reissue of the U67"? Would you two shut it please? You're spending my money... I have only one thing to add to that. Dallas @upton is awesome! Regales you with stories, loves to jam... heck of a guitar player too! Tampa Bay lifer. A model citizen in the pro audio world.

It seems to me that if Neumann (Sennheiser) can do a great job reissuing the 47FET, they could do just as well with a U67 if they wanted to. With the U87 and TLM 67 still in production, I'd guess it wouldn't be a huge leap for them to add tube circuitry, the body and capsule are the same, aren't they?

The comment about Upton (Dallas) has nothing to do with him personally. It seems they're so busy - probably the demand on such a small company with such a great new product - that he's back logged with orders & messages, etc.
