]I love the lower, angled back computer monitor approach. It makes so much more sense to me in a studio (if no LFAC). Unfortunately, I am not a cabinetmaker or anything close to it, so I’ve never been able to pull it off. But that’s a great way to work, for sure. That's what's cool though. Take a normal monitor, but a VESA wall mount and you've not only got a monitor you can kind of work into the spot you want it but also it's off of the desk which I feel makes a difference (bottom edge). Thanks guys. My iMac is 27". I do move up a little for serious edits.. Just in case you weren't aware of it, on a Mac you can hover over the area you want to zoom in on and then scroll while holding down ctrl. It takes some getting use to because you have to pay attention to where you put your pointer. I wear readers and I use this feature ALL the time. support.apple.com/en-us/HT210978

Thanks guys. My iMac is 27". I do move up a little for serious edits, but mainly stay back. I've been estimating distance so far, but you guys inspired me to measure. It turns out my eyes are 3' from the 27" monitor. Once I get into a new space I'll see where I land, but it's looking like a 32" monitor might just be good enough. Maybe 37", but when I looked around for second hand monitors, 32" seemed to be the largest screen size for a true monitor. I'm sure they come in larger sizes, but that seems to be the point where the price goes up exponentially as the screen size gets bigger. Martin, this is the one I got about 18 months ago (click for Amazon link): LG 32UD60-BI have it set for 4k resolution, but for UI to look like 1920 x 1080. I like it so much that I bought a 24-inch version that's off to my left side 90 degrees for other, unrelated tasks. These are inexpensive, and not top-of-the-line LG monitors, but I color grade on them all the time and have found them up to the job. They're super lightweight, too, so easy to maneuver.

Thanks Mark and Mark! That's kind of exactly what I had in mind for a monitor. I need to fly to Nashville, rent an Air BnB for 5 days, find a new place to live and move all my belongings from NYC to Nashville, (maybe), and buy a car, all within 3 weeks.
It's really expensive and risky for me, but if I can pull it off and have anything left over, I'll grab the next gen Mac Mini when it comes out soon.
