Was just saying it was a way, of course, do what you prefer ! Exactly, I first tested it in Logic and it was like a dream. Then error message appeared when I tested in LUNA. I will probably leave PT and Logic behind me and then you want things to work in LUNA if it is worth buying it

That’s tempting, hopefully Drew chimes in about Luna, remember in Luna you have a direct link to developers and can make your request directly to them!

Seems like we talked about this somewhere...but...I'm too lazy to look. So - how is this used? On busses? On the master? www.soundradix.com/products/piHad to download the demo version after reading the thread, was curious. It makes the job absolutely wonderful. What I really like about it is that it does not move the tracks to the exact starting point as Auto Align does with a reference channel. I always want the overhead and room channels to be after (which is for obvious reasons) and not be completely aligned with the close microphones as some do. There, PI does exactly what I want and does not disturb the hierarchy in the microphones, but only corrects "Phase" in real time. The sad thing is that it does not work with LUNA. It will be "Sync Error". PI needs 500 for "Global Lookahead Buffer". It was really sad. Because I'm on my way from Logic & ProTools for LUNA. Maybe Drew @ UA can shime in and tell me if I'm doing something wrong here with LUNA and SoundRadix PI? Otherwise it is an absolutely wonderful plug and I will buy it immediately if it will work in LUNA in the future Are you putting it on every channel - even the OH and Rooms? And it just affects phase? Not sure I understand how it would do that...

Hey john is this still in use for you? I’m interested in slapping it on all of my busses to summing... but 250 ain’t cheap. Definitely will be demoing but curious about ur long term thoughts. Oh - and meant to say, I completely forgot about it. Lol

Sorry, I've never tried PI in LUNA, I don't own it. I do use Auto-Align and it works perfectly.

Sorry, I've never tried PI in LUNA, I don't own it. I do use Auto-Align and it works perfectly. Have been sitting with it for a few days now after I saw the thread here on RGO (have completely missed that plug). First impression made me floored, but then begins to go into depth it gives quite a lot of side effects. But I understand that it's a tricky guy to get a grip on. Trying to figure out what could go wrong with LUNA&PI with “System Error”. Does Luna have a "fix" buffer? If so, is there a fixed buffer on ARM mode with the UA plugs when tracking and a higher buffer when running third part plugs when mixing? For "PI" needs a lot of buffer to work with its a "phase" calculations. Thanks 4 u time Drew

Yes Luna does have a fixed buffer, around 150 if I remember correctly.

Yes Luna does have a fixed buffer, around 150 if I remember correctly. Okidoki, then I start to understand the problem with PI and system error in Luna. Because if you have quite a few channels with PI, you are quickly up to 500 buffer range. Then PI is not a plugin for Luna. Good to know as I invest a lot now for a future life in Luna land. Thanks for the answer kcatthedog

I'd encourage Sound Radix to reach out to our team and get LUNA on their test grid.

I'd encourage Sound Radix to reach out to our team and get LUNA on their test grid. That would be absolutely wonderful! Been sitting with PI in Logic the last few days and it's a clever plugin. In general, SoundRadix makes clever plugs that stand out and make the job a little easier in the studio. Good compliment to your UA plugs. Best of both worlds Thanks Drew!

Indeed, I use Auto-Align and Drum Leveler all the time. Same here, great tools! Then I keep my fingers crossed that Sound Radix gets time over and optimizes PI with Luna. Because now I bought it Keep up the good work Drew, thanks! KR H

So I picked up Auto-Align today (last day of their Cyber Week Sale). I'm still really interested in Pi, but just haven't had time to play with it much. And $200 is a little steep for a sale price in today's market, IMO. If it had been $100, I'd have gotten it no question.
Auto-Align is fantastic, though. I tried it on a performance of me singing and playing acoustic guitar at the same time: two mics on guitar and one mic on voice. I usually find that to be a difficult recording to pull off when recording myself due to time-of-arrival discrepancies between the different mics. Auto-Align handled it in like a minute. Best sound I've ever gotten on that kind of recording.
