Is it me or do the pre gain and level knobs look like they have no markings or knob position indicator? They don’t seem to have the standard bump or protrusion to be able to see what setting they are at?
Also … not really liking the blue or the gimmicy tube windows.
Pity the EQ is not proportional Q…
At these prices, will be interesting to hear sound samples.

They're ok eqs but honestly nothing I'd dream of owning!

Hahahah is API trying to take sales from Drawmer and charge more now with the T25? It looks like a Drawmer 1968 with faster attack, different tubes, no Fairchild releases, and THRUST instead of BIG. Are they going to throw their current 2520s in it?

Not me. Not with this current, beancounter-driven version of API, as a company, and not with CAPI being a better option all the way around.

Not me. Not with this current, beancounter-driven version of API, as a company, and not with CAPI being a better option all the way around. Yeah -- I'm with ye. Mine was more of a silly/rhetorical question.
On your note -- when was the last time API innovated? They did do a 2x2 preamp/converter thingy that was new...but then stopped making converters.
Otherwise, it's been repackaging and stuff. Oh, and the lame "500 format" which probably helped their competitors more than their own interests. Then CAPI came along and owned all kinds of thunder that API should have owned. Ahhh...hind-sight's a bitch!
APSI & API functionality into new boxes: don't get me wrong, I had an API 8MX2 that was my favorite preamp ever! But repackaging and adding toobs isn't what RGO is looking for.
As a technologist I get the situation they are in. They have to balance old reputable products with "new" capabilities w/o hindering either while STILL feeding a small company of employees while being "transformative". The problem, of course, is that..........most of this shit is going digital and it's hard to find new territory that can complete.
