The answer is simple but expensive; it depends on the track, player room and guitar so you need both. Sorry but I still think like a gearpimp who at one point gave Ward’s mic locker a run for the money. Hell I once showed up for gig and was called the “John McBride of Dynamics “. Fully agree with ericn, I have both a matched pair of the original 0-11s and a matched pair of the 0-13s. Love them both. Use depends on everything eric said above in addition to even the players playing style. So….obviously both.

Hey Mike more and more I think the myth of the great mic is my former brethren’s fault at least those who haven’t spent enough time in the studio don’t realize great is great only if things fit together In fact I’ll even say for most a locker of good mics is better than that one great mic.
