Greetings.
Has anyone worked with either of these distribution companies? If so, likes/dislikes? If you've worked with both, which do you prefer and why?
Many thanks, -09

My last Tunecore release didn’t post on the release date which was quite annoying. It was delayed for 48hrs and it looks unprofessional to your followers/listeners when you’re advertising a specific date. I’m in the process of releasing a new song in the next week or 2 and I noticed that Tunecore recommends giving them 4 weeks to process your music to guarantee its acceptance in all stores (although you don’t have to). I also find that very annoying because when the music is ready who wants to wait around another 4 weeks. I know that most online stores like iTunes, google play take 3 days to 2 weeks to approve your music. Also Tunecore only lets you upload 16bit 44.1 wavs if that matters to you.

I preferred DistroKid to TuneCore. I think DistroKid bought TuneCore so it may not make much difference anymore. I kinda like SongTradr more cuz I can submit for sync licensing but it costs more.

I guess I was mistaken. This is an interesting quote though. haha "DistroKid is simply the best distributor in the market." -Jeff Price, founder of TuneCore and Audiam (source)
