Wow! Where do you put the other 15? Chris H47T number 16, I have 91 other microphones. (and counting) Lol...Now you have to shoot for the next plateau! 100 microphones! Then you have to shoot for 150! Then you have to...and so on! Eventually you will find the right mic for the job! Lol. I bet you have a dedicated mic for flatulence? Lol

Yeah - used mine on a work for hire I was doing a couple days ago...was kind of a Springsteen kinda thing...not screaming vocals...and it was just huge on bottom and exactly what I wanted. No EQ. Don’t think I’ve ever done that. Actually, I think I pulled back a little 3.2 on the pre going in. But just slightly. John, are you using the Heisermann U47 on your vocals now? I go back and forth with the Upton. Either works. Probably a little more the Upton because it just totally fits in pop productions. The H47 is bigger and thicker a sounds like a 47.

Lol After trying a vintage 67 and 47 on the male pop project I’m working on, it’s the Upton 251, a Wunder CM7S and a U87i that are nailing the vocal duties....vintage doesn’t always win!

Yeah, but when you put the deposit down you have to cough up the rest. I need to take stock of my priorities... More gear... Just need to organize the acquisition.

It's the best investment you will make this year, Mine keeps getting better and better as it gets more use. Absolutely mind-blowing during last night's rap/metal session with a RATM style band.

I wonder if the Heiserman K47 and M7 capsules, are both available to try out/compare at NAMM? Thanks, Chris

Great! Never have tried the M7 yet. It'll be interesting for me, as my voice has "darkened" a bit recently... Even in 2nd Tenor. Chris

On January 18th/19th, got to sing/try both capsules. Honestly, they're both so fantastic... I'd have someone like John K., pick the better one, for me! I'd trust a strong AE's judgment, over mine. Chris

Chris Think it just depends what kind of music you would use it for. More dense mixes, maybe the kk47. More organic maybe the M7. But I’d use the kk47 on anything.

And by dense I mean lots of tracks/modern/pop If the new Jonas Brothers is any indication, pop has suddenly turned from dense and busy to sparse and open. This may change vocal microphone choices

Yes! Now we'll be seeing the Emergency "Autotune Switch"... Right there on the microphone! Chris . Why not have a mic that does everything! Preamp included, and instead of installing a channel strip into the mic. How about putting a little lcd on the side of the mic, so you can control your UAD or Steven Slate plug-in chain! Lol...has this come to market yet? I just hope it’s LUNA compatible...
